Service 01

Estate Planning Consultation

A meeting designed for families who wish to plan for the future without urgency. The lawyer helps map your assets, identifies intended beneficiaries, explains the effect of the relevant law, and outlines suitable planning instruments — wills, nominations, and trusts. You leave with a written planning note and time to reflect with family before any drafting begins.

This service is suitable when you:

  • Have not yet made a will or reviewed existing estate documents
  • Have recently acquired significant assets (property, investments, business interests)
  • Have experienced a change in family structure (marriage, divorce, birth of child)
  • Want to understand how your assets will be distributed under current law

Process:

  1. Introductory meeting (approximately 90 minutes)
  2. Written planning note prepared and sent within 5 working days
  3. Optional follow-up meeting to review and confirm instructions
  4. Drafting of instruments on confirmed instructions
  5. Execution of documents with required legal formalities

Regular written updates keep the family informed throughout.

Inheritance Dispute Resolution
Service 03

Dispute Resolution for Inheritance Matters

Conduct of contested estate matters where a will's validity, beneficiary entitlement, or administrator conduct has become a point of disagreement. Work includes pleadings, disclosure, negotiation, and hearing attendance. The firm approaches these matters with particular care because the parties often remain family after the case closes.

Typical dispute types include:

  • Challenge to a will's validity (capacity, undue influence, formal defects)
  • Disputes over beneficiary entitlement or share calculations
  • Administrator misconduct or failure to distribute
  • Constructive trust or proprietary estoppel claims
  • Removal or replacement of executor or administrator

Our approach: Negotiation and mediation are explored before any hearing is scheduled. Where a settlement is not available, the matter is prepared thoroughly for court. Clients are informed of likely outcomes and costs at each stage before proceeding.
